THE REGION WE KNOW
Southwest Florida is its own construction market.
High wind loads, coastal flood zones, sandy soils, two-county permitting, and a building code that gets stricter every cycle. Designing and building across the SWFL coast requires more than a copy-paste set of details.
Fort is headquartered in Bonita Springs and works across Lee and Collier counties. Civil engineering, structural engineering, in-house design, and construction live under one roof, with a licensed architect to seal the drawings. One license, one Professional Engineer signing the engineering, one accountable team from concept through closeout.
Most firms claim Design-Build. Fort practices it.

What we handle across SWFL.
Working across five cities and two counties means understanding what each jurisdiction wants, where the flood and wind exposure thresholds shift, and how to coordinate civil, structural, design, and construction under one accountable team.
Two-county permitting fluency
Collier County, Lee County, and the incorporated city building departments. We handle pre-application meetings, zoning interpretation, and full plan-set submittal across all of them.
Coastal wind and flood engineering
Wind Exposure C and D zones, FEMA AE and VE flood zones, base flood elevation analysis, breakaway-wall construction, and substantial-improvement triggers on existing structures.
In-house civil and structural
Site drainage, grading, parking, utilities, and structural framing engineered by the same team that designs and builds. No coordination handoffs between offices.
In-house design, sealed by a licensed architect
Concept through construction documents for commercial and residential, developed in-house and sealed by a licensed architect. Including jurisdictions with formal design review (Old Naples, Marco Island) where we manage the submittal process.
